Mazzilli is a self taught rug hooker living in the Mad River Valley. As Mazzilli says "There's a special type of explosive creativity when you not only design a pattern, but then choose colors of wools with which to design your rug. The vibrancy and texture of woolen fabrics is endless and I developed a chunky, rustic way of hooking that not only suits my personality, but also allows me to use a variety of woolen fabrics, creating a special texturing to my designs. Over the thousands of hours I have spent hooking, I have honed my technique and learned skills that allow me fully express my art through my work."
